Box Vans

When the "Réseau des Bains de Mer" closed to commercial services, the CFBS preserved several types of former S.E. box vans that were used for carrying goods on the Somme network, 11 in total. They carried parcels and produce requiring protection from the elements, as well as livestock. In 2018, 3 of them were «deconstructed» in view of their parlous condition. Whatever parts could be salvaged were placed in storage.
In 1978, one Swiss box van and 5 from the Réseau Breton (RB) network were delivered to the CFBS. Two RB wagons were sold to another preservation society in 2019.
